Synopsis

Buku ini menyajikan dokumentasi ilmiah mengenai kondisi ekosistem terumbu karang di Karang Katon, Selat Madura, khususnya dalam konteks pemantauan lingkungan laut di sekitar kawasan operasi Maleo Producer Platform, Wilayah Kerja Madura Offshore. Terumbu karang diposisikan sebagai indikator penting dalam menilai kualitas lingkungan perairan serta memahami dinamika ekosistem pesisir dari waktu ke waktu.
Buku ini memadukan kajian pustaka, metode pemantauan kualitatif dan kuantitatif, serta analisis hasil pengamatan lapangan. Pembahasan mencakup tutupan karang hidup, bentuk pertumbuhan karang, kondisi substrat, biota asosiasi, komunitas ikan terumbu, hingga rekomendasi pengelolaan ekosistem secara berkelanjutan.
Sebagai monograf ilmiah, buku ini relevan bagi dosen, mahasiswa, peneliti, praktisi lingkungan, pengelola sumber daya pesisir, industri, dan pemangku kebijakan yang membutuhkan rujukan akademik maupun teknis mengenai pemantauan dan pengelolaan terumbu karang.
