Synopsis

Buku ini membahas governance quality dengan fokus utamanya adalah efektivitas tata kelola dalam mengarahkan, mengawasi, dan mempertanggungjawabkan keputusan perusahaan, terutama ketika keputusan tersebut berhubungan dengan pembiayaan, investasi, risiko, pelaporan, dan keberlanjutan. Pendekatan ini diperlukan karena organisasi dapat memiliki struktur governance yang lengkap tetapi tetap menghadapi kegagalan apabila independensi hanya bersifat formal, kompetensi tidak sesuai, informasi tidak memadai, atau tindak lanjut pengawasan tidak berjalan.
Buku ini disusun dalam empat bab. Bab pertama membangun konsep governance quality. Bab kedua membahas fondasi teori yang menjelaskan mekanisme governance. Bab ketiga menguraikan dimensi dan komponen pengukuran kualitas governance. Bab keempat membahas kualitas governance dalam konteks Indonesia serta mengembangkan agenda masa depan.
