PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT Konsep, Strategi, dan Praktik Pengembangan Program Berbasis Partisipasi
Synopsis
Pemberdayaan masyarakat merupakan salah satu pilar utama pembangunan nasional. Pengalaman panjang pembangunan Indonesia menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan yang menempatkan masyarakat sebagai objek semata tidak menghasilkan perubahan yang berkelanjutan. Sebaliknya, pembangunan yang menempatkan masyarakat sebagai subjek yang berdaya, berpartisipasi, dan mengambil keputusan atas kehidupannya sendiri terbukti lebih mampu menciptakan kesejahteraan yang berakar dan bertahan lama. Oleh karena itu, kemampuan memberdayakan masyarakat menjadi kompetensi wajib bagi sarjana agribisnis yang kelak akan bekerja bersama petani, nelayan, pelaku usaha mikro, dan komunitas perdesaan.
